About A Boy

One day, a teenager was standing in the milk aisle at QFC. He seemed confused, unable to decide what kind of milk he should buy. For years, his parents had purchased his milk. Now he was baffled by all the choices. "What should I get?" he thought to himself. "1%, 2%, Homogenized? Isn't that illegal in this state?"

Along came Michael and Jennifer, out purchasing dinner (for their cats.) "We need some milk," Jennifer exclaimed. "Let's get our favorite!" Michael cried! Michael had been placed on an extreme diet by his doctor, in which all things yummy had been banned. Jennifer and Michael had been drinking skim milk for months now. "Get the Fat-Free Milk," Michael shouted. "It's the best!" Jennifer proclaimed!

Confused, the teenager also picked up the fat free milk, perhaps believing it too was the best.

Boy, will he be sorely disappointed.

Del Taco in Seattle?!

A couple days into our relationship, Jennifer and I went for a drive and ended up at the California Coast. When we came back to Redding, there was huge drama, and we left around 1AM to try to get away from it all.

Our destination: Del Taco. Best fast food tacos around. Actually, best tacos around, period.

Those late night Del Taco runs have become a tradition for us. One time we decided to go to Del Taco so late we watched the sunrise as we ate in the parking lot of Jennifer's old high school.

The food is really cheap, and there's nothing better than sitting outside the restaurant on a hot summer night in Redding.

Problem is, we don't have any in Seattle. But Del Taco released the exciting news today that yes indeed, Del Taco will be opening 5 restaurants in the Seattle market.

Great news, except that there is no timeline for opening the restaurants, and also they've been claiming new stores in the Seattle market for as long as Jennifer and I have been together. I'll believe it when I see it, but perhaps it's for the best. Having Del Taco around all the time would make it far less special, and I for one won't be sitting outside any fast food restaurant around here at 1AM. They'll probably put it on Aurora anyway.

...

Meanwhile, my mom thinks this toilet trained elephant is really funny.
