My Take on Jennifer's Volunteering

Jennifer went to the Medical Center today for her volunteering orientation. I dropped her off and then drove around trying to get to the parking lot. I park there all the time, but I got turned around and had to make a few u-turns. I guess she's getting a free parking pass... since I pay $2.50 to park there every day, I'll have to see if I can use it!

But I digress... I was sitting outside watching patients and it really struck me how she's going to be able to help these people. There was this very large woman trying to roll her wheelchair up a very slight hill, and while I probably should have gotten up and helped her, I was instead lost in thought about Jennifer, imagining her rushing to the patient in need, helping her up the hill because that's just the kind of person she is. This is really the perfect job for her. I am so proud of her, and she's going to rock the volunteer office, not to mention nursing school.

She's a great wife.
