Evaluating the Iraq "Quagmire"

I thought it would be interesting to compare casualties in the Iraq War versus other significant wars in U.S. History

It's an interesting comparison. I originally included the 1991 Gulf War, but it didn't even show up on the graph. We lost about as many troops in the Spanish American War as we have in the Iraq War, though it is probably important to note that hostilities in the latter war only occurred between February and August of 1898.
