Don't Hate Prussian Blue

A lot of people are angry at the teenage girl band "Prussian Blue" for their remarks that Hitler was a "great man" who had "good ideas."

I have no problem with the concept of white pride. A lot of people are proud of their race, and I don't think anyone should be singled out for white pride when so many are preaching the pride of being black or Hispanic or whatever. But these girls don't live in reality. Their beloved Hitler was a mass murderer. He killed millions of Jews, and for reasons I personally can't even comprehend.

The girls are 13. When they started their band, they were 11. They aren't getting attention because they are racist. They're getting attention because they're cute and they're racist. (Why are they considered cute? Because they're blue-eyed blondes... no? Ironic.)

But the fact that these young girls have been indoctrinated in lies and half-truths doesn't make them bad... it makes them ignorant and uninformed. We shouldn't be angry with 13 year old girls. When told that Hitler "had 6 million Jews executed" twin Lynx responded "I hardly believe there are even that many Jews alive back then."

But don't hate the girls. Hate their parents. Hate the people who taught them what they believe... who didn't give them access to the truth.

Ten years from now, will these girls still be so callous to the thought of six million exterminated Jews? Will they still think Hitler was a great man? I think not. Where this story will get good is when these twins grow up and renounce their beliefs.
