The Truth About Marguerite Perrin

On next weeks Trading Spouses, extreme Christian Marguerite Perrin goes crazy. But the previews on the show make her sound much more obscene than she really is. On television, she is featured saying "Get the BLEEP out of my house!" and her mouth is blurred out. But the uncensored video shows she's not as obscene as FOX wants you to believe... her actual words are "Get the he** out of my house in Jesus' name I pray!"

Yup.

Update: Apparently Perrin was on Access Hollywood getting a makeover and watching herself on TV, laughing about it all.

Meanwhile, here's an article from the Hammond Star about their local celebrity.

"Was I scared? You bet I was scared. When you're lying in bed at night in a strange place with all that around you and you smell a burning smell in the middle of the night, yes, I was scared," she said.

What did she think the burning smell was? Flesh?

who cares what she said...shes crazy and give all christians a bad name!

She is crazy. I might not believe in horoscopes and psychics, but I don't believe that any of that has to do with the dark arts. They always show the mothers feeling uncomfortable but not this comfortable. She said it herself. She is a closed-mind woman. If she had opened her mind, she wouldn't be this way. But that would be boring. But I do still believe that she's wrong.

And what was that smell that she thought was horrible? I didn't get it. They really didn't show what was the problem.

I wanted to know what the smell was too. The girl went in and she was like "I don't smell anything."

I love the star. We used to have a star like that we'd put up for Christmas. It even had lights on it like theirs. Was that a sign of the devil? Seriously, something is wrong with that woman. I actually feel bad for her.

I'm disappointed with the response from her husband though. I like how at the beginning he said he'd only slept with one woman. Did he think part of the wife swap was he got to sleep with her too? I mean, she's a pretty hot mom... I love how the ladies were all looking disapprovingly at her breasts. Amazing that they were just as closed minded too. Insane.

Well I will admit that alot of it is edited for our entertainment, but she didnt have to give them so much ammunition. In some ways I feel bad for the woman but she brought all this BS on herself. She figured she would be a God Warrior and spread the word while getting 50 grand. I feel bad for her kids though, she is one of the laziest people I have ever seen in my life and besides isnt gluttony one of the deadly sins?

But all in all it was one of the funniest things I have seen, I recorded the episode and shared it with my friends, we must have watched it a half dozen times.

What amazes me is how little “Christians”, especially fundamentalists and Evangelicals, know about biblical history and theology.

This clearly deranged woman states that gargoyles are “from the dark side” and “of the devil”. Yet, she has no idea that gargoyles have Christian origins. They are rooted in the Christian history of the Middle Ages. They were placed in Medieval churches to ward away evil spirits and disease. The uglier the gargoyle, the more effective in warding away evil. If you visit any gothic church or cathedral worldwide, you will see gargoyles all over the place. They were intended to bring good luck to the building and are in no way whatsoever evil.

This woman, Marguerite, simply feeds the negative stereotype that Christians are nutjobs and fanatics; and is doing much more harm than good to a religious philosophy that focuses on peace, forgiveness, and goodwill to all.

She also appears to be afraid of a wooden star with Christmas lights on it, which as far as I've ever seen is usually associated with the Christmas star.

Marguerite is afraid of what she does not know, but worse yet, she diminishes the claimed power of God by assuming that merely sitting next to a psychic is opening a path to the "dark side." I don't believe in psychics, or astrology, and other crazy X-Files stuff. But by being afraid of these things, she gives them power. They are powerless over me because I know they are false... that "psychics" are usually con artists for example.

Its no new thing, if you read the Bible, Jesus and the apostles warned about false believers, and even Jesus said "everyone who says 'Lord, Lord' shall not enter the kingdom".

She is just a typical modern day fraud who is used by satan to bring blasphemy against Christ by her using His name in vain and to bring false presentation of Him to the world.

People who act like this is not something new, many people use Jesus' name in vain, the use of His name does not in doing so proove that person is a true believer who is guided by the Holy Spirit and saved. It is too bad in our time most so called Christians don't even read the bible and fall into the benny hinn type frauds without examining them at all or if what they preach is truly biblically consistent.

Nothing new anyways, but FOX surely used her in the editing process to subtily promote their own mockery of so called "christianity". They know how to pick people to get the most abrasive explosive situation they can possibly get, and there is always a nut bar to find easily out of the tens of thousands who apply for these types of shows to provide that for them.

Surely this is the biggest nut bar of them all though, no?

Posted by: March at November 9, 2005 11:33 PM

That was a funny show, but yes, she was a bit too much of a nut.

I wonder what she thinks of atheists, as they don't practice witchcraft or "dark acts." Her old hag friend with the pink shirt and choppy dirty hair was a complete bitch, she needs to go F herself with her interrogation of the other mom. Why are christians always so "nice" to those who hold different beliefs than theirs, geesh?

I thought this woman was totally and completely disgusting and repulsive. Everything about her was repulsive. I feel very badly for her family. They are the ones living in hell.
